Since I was a little girl English have play an important role in my life. When I was in 4th grade I began participating in spelling bee competitions and won first or second place most of the time. Those competitions help me with my pronunciation and writing a lot. Although I receive a good education, I really learn my English watching cable TV all the time. Television helps me to understand and talk the correct way.
When I start college all the text books of my concentration were in English, that’s why it is very important knowing and understanding the language. In the Business Administration Department all the book, assignments and tests are in English helping me expand my knowledge. Currently I am finishing my Bachelors Degree and looking for a good job. Most of the interviews include Spanish and English questions because they require a fully or partially bilingual employee. Even if I decide to continuing Post Grad studies this language will help me a lot in my research assignments.
In the future I will be using English all the time in my work. As an Accounting and Finance professional all the papers, financial statements and analysis are in English. This is the universal language and is not only good for me is for all of us. All the people should know at least the basic because as years pass by it will be more demanding for jobs and as a part of our daily activities. English will help us to be successful in life.
